Education: What, Where and Why

We will cover the anatomy of the pelvis and core, all its functions in the body, how it works, and how we can breathe and move with it! We will also discuss the emotional connection of pelvic health through a self-awareness perspective.

Connection & Awareness

Feel a deeper connection to yourself and your pelvic health, using the provided Pelvic Wellness Journal. Discover your needs, resources and community supports to gain proper tools for your own self care journey.
You aren’t alone in this!

Common imbalances will be covered including incontinence, lower back pain, prolapse, and more.

Anne will lead the small group into learning through discussions, demonstrations,
and with guided movement woven throughout the morning.
This will enable students to experience
and feel the information learned, and allow for more interactive learning.

The small group setting will allow students to feel safe to ask questions and with no judgment.

Students will leave the workshop with effective experiential knowledge that can
help them take control of, and care for their pelvic floor in daily activities.

Meet Anne

I am excited to be sharing this introspective journey with you.
Allow me to introduce myself – my name is Anne. I am a practicing RMT here in Wortley Village. My background in healthcare includes several years in mental health advocacy before I came to manual therapy work.

My heritage and family health needs brought me deeper into studying natural health, movement therapy and European and Eastern massage modalities. My intent was to find natural ways to help with raising my children, which in time began a journey of helping and treating others in my community as well. This work also provided me an opportunity to work in women’s health, where I became an Educator and women’s wellness coach.

Becoming an RMT was a dream since I was a young adult. But raising a family put that part of the dream on the back burner for a while. Once my children were done with their post secondary schooling, I went back to get my license as an RMT.

💚 I love the work.
💚 I love to teach.
💚 and it is an honour to share time with others and to facilitate open discussions and exploration into the human body – and mostly to empower people to self advocate for their best quality of life.

I look forward to meeting you at the workshop, and I thank you for joining me and allowing me to share some of my experiences and studies with you.
