At the top tier of just about any sort of endeavor, you’ll find that the performers have coaches. Pianists, orators and athletes all have coaches. In fact, it would be weird if we heard of someone on stage or on the field who didn’t have one. And yet, in the world of business (and/or life), they’re seen as the exception.

So why don’t most of us have a life coach?

There’s a lot of confusion around why.

Perhaps part of the reason people don’t choose it, is that we suppose life and living it should be a no-brainer.

Indeed, we believe that going to work, raising children, having healthy relationships, managing finances, getting over anxiety or depression… should be doable by any normal, healthy person, right?

But it’s not always that easy, is it?

Well, we’ve got your back.

In fact, coaching magical people like you is what we do.

Maybe by now you know that in addition to offering Sunday Evening Meditations, we also facilitate people like you to make the most of their lives – inviting more ease and fulfillment.

“It turns out that the people with the potential to benefit the most from a coach are often the most hesitant precisely because of what coaching involves.”

~ Seth Godin

To clear up any misconceptions, coaching involves…

Shining the light on our strengths, abilities and challenges. Even taking a deeper look into our patterns of behaviour. And acknowledging that we want to become the greatest version of ourselves. Or honouring our desire for satisfaction, peace and success.

And yet we hesitate. It might be because having a coach might be interpreted as a sign of weakness. Or we fear change. Perhaps our feelings of inadequacy wonder, “Am I worth the money? I could spend this on a home renovation. But ME? That’s selfish.”

And so, paying for a coach, for something that’s hard to measure, which might be socially awkward, to get better at something that feels normal—combine that with a hesitancy to ask for help—it’s a wonder anyone has a coach.

The paradox is that the very things that hold us back are the reasons we need a coach in the first place.
