Reflector

The right environment is key to a Reflector’s happiness.

A Reflector’s gift to the world is experiencing diversity with awe and wonder and reflecting the health of a group or an organization. They have a gift for discernment.

Reflectors are without definition in any of their centres and make up just over 1% of the population. Their strategy is to wait a full cycle of the moon before making major decisions (i.e. love, business partnership, career, life changes, moving, having children, etc.) to find clarity, leading to a life of more surprise and less disappointment.

A Reflector’s presence is a mirror for others. In groups, people’s sense of themselves and the group is mirrored through the Reflector. They are the true mirrors for society with the greatest potential for wisdom out of all the types

Manifesting Generator

Reflectors possess the unique ability to take on and embody many different roles, adapting to their environment and reflecting what is happening around them. Their auras are often compared to Teflon—nothing sticks to them. Like the moon, they shift through phases without getting caught up in the drama that Solar Types may create.

Rather than identifying with fixed energies, Reflectors are learning to reflect. Energetically, they are like blank slates, with little of their own defined energy. Growing up in a world that demands self-definition can be especially confusing for Reflectors. Understanding that they operate so differently from the majority of people, and that this is completely okay, is a vital step in their journey.

As previously mentioned, Reflectors are Lunar types, making up just over 1% of the population. Just as the moon doesn’t generate its own light but instead reflects the light of the sun, Reflectors mirror, absorb, or amplify the energies of others through their nine open centers.

With an open Identity Centre, Reflectors are meant to explore many different paths throughout their lives. They shouldn’t feel discouraged if they’ve changed careers multiple times, switched fields of study, or followed a non-traditional life course. This is precisely what they are designed to do.

A helpful guiding question for Reflectors is, “Who am I today?” or “What environments feel good today?” Their true internal authority is simply feeling good, and what feels good will shift depending on their environment and the people they are with.

The 28-day Lunar Authority waiting period applies only to major life decisions—such as love, business partnerships, career choices, major life changes, and family decisions—not the smaller, day-to-day choices. For lighter decisions, Reflectors should follow what feels good in the moment. This is why it’s so important for them to curate the people and environments they surround themselves with.

STRATEGY

WAITING A LUNAR CYCLE

The strategy is the way your energy type can maximize the way you attract opportunities and synchronicities.

Wait 28 days, the full cycle of the moon, before making a major decision and talk with others about it, while paying attention to what you say.

WHAT THIS MEANS

Taking your time, a full lunar cycle, before making major decisions is essential to your health and well-being as a “lunar type,” which is tied to the lunar cycle. All the other types are considered “solar” and have a very different way of functioning. The moon moves through all 64 gates in the wheel in a lunar cycle, and this gives you 9-12 hours at a time to sample the quality of the gift of each gate as it applies to your decision.

Wait 28 days, the full cycle of the moon, before making a major decision and talk with others about it, while paying attention to what you say.

QUESTIONS TO ASK

Who am I today?
What adventures and surprises are there for me?
Where do I feel good? What environments support me and my growth?

TO BE AWARE OF

When a Reflector is identified with the power of someone else’s defined G or Sacral center, as their own G or Sacral is open, the following patterns may arise:

The Reflector may feel the desire to conform, seeking acceptance and love, avoiding conflict (due to the open solar plexus). At times, they may hold onto relationships that aren’t healthy for them (due to the open spleen), simply to avoid loneliness, alienation, and to feel a sense of stability or purpose (due to the open root).

SIGNATURE

SURPRISE

Your signature is what your energy was naturally designed to experience, and it is probably what you crave the most out of life.

WHAT THIS MEANS

You know you’re following your Strategy and Authority as a Reflector when you’re surprised. Every day is different. Being with a variety of people on a daily basis is exciting for you. You’re here to sample and taste test a bit of everything at the buffet of life. Sampling the different energies through a lunar cycle can be very surprising. I personally know of 2 Reflectors who drive a bus and meet different people every day. They both thrive with the variety it brings.

HONE YOUR CRAFT, LIVE YOUR ART

When you begin to appreciate your unique magical difference and give up trying to fit in, you start to hone the craft of what it is to be a Reflector. Your artful magic is expressed in the freshness and surprise that you experience daily and the sense that there is always something more, something else possible.

QUESTIONS TO ASK

What will surprise me today?
Will I be included, surprised or invisible?

TO BE AWARE OF

Reflectors can be disappointed in others. Did you feel pressured to act and then it didn’t work out the way you wanted it to? With your open centres you take in the definition of others, seeing the world through their eyes. You’re like a mirror and the reflection of others constantly changes your perception.

NOT-SELF THEME

DISAPPOINTMENT

Each energy type has a different emotion that tends to surface when we are misaligned from our design. This emotion is called the not-self theme.

WHAT THIS MEANS

Reflectors can be disappointed because they haven’t been understood or encouraged to embrace their magical difference. Too often they experience the world around them as cold and disappointing, so they give in to expectations put on them just to survive.

HONE YOUR CRAFT, LIVE YOUR ART

Stop trying to fit in or deny your truth to please others. Let go of the need to belong to something or someone, and stop hiding who you truly are. Don’t create a false identity to mask your essence.

Know that you are perfect as you are. You are not meant to be anyone other than yourself.

You are the very embodiment of life in motion, constantly flowing and shifting, like the phases of the moon.

Life itself is full of surprises—each breath you take is a fresh revelation, a moment of wonder.

You don’t need to cling to the breath. It will return to you time and time again, until your final moment.

Trying to hold onto anything can lead to disappointment because it keeps you from seeing the beauty of simply being alive.

If disappointment arises, it may be a sign that you are not looking in the right direction or are no longer in the right environment.

Allow your disappointment to guide you, helping you reassess whether you’re on the right path or not.

You are not here to follow the same path as every other creature. What if, like a fish, you are meant to swim and not walk? Forget about trying to be something you’re not.

If you are like a fish, meant to swim, find the environment that supports you—one where you don’t need to walk. You belong in the water, not on land, so stop comparing yourself to creatures that walk.

Stop trying to fit in, stop denying your truth, and stop creating a false identity. Let yourself be who you truly are.

QUESTIONS TO ASK

Do I feel confident moving freely in my environments?
Do I give myself the permission to enter or to leave when it feels right for me to do so?
What’s the correct workplace and home environment for me?
Do I have a dedicated, creative space to call my own?
Am I succumbing to pressure or can I allow myself a month to make a major decision?

TO BE AWARE OF

Embrace the art of detaching from your surroundings and step confidently into your role at the heart of your tribe or community. One of your unique gifts is spotting the subtle details that others overlook, like a finely tuned barometer for the energy of the spaces where you live and serve. Your connection to the cosmos, particularly the moon, grants you profound insights into life that many may never grasp. You also have the rare ability to deeply perceive your environment without absorbing its frequencies too intensely.

AUTHORITY

LUNAR

It’s how you know if a decision is correct for you or not. Lunar Authority is related to 28 day cycle of the moon and is very different than any of the Authorities of the other Solar Types (Generators, Projectors & Manifestors).

You know you have Lunar Authority if all 9 centres in your chart are open/white.

WHAT THIS MEANS

Your Authority is tied to the cycles of the moon, unlike the other Solar Types whose purpose “shines” through them like the sun. Like the moon, the Reflector’s glow is subtle, yet brings forth great influence, especially when recognized by others.

The 28 day Lunar Authority waiting period applies to the major decisions in their life (i.e. love, business partnership, career, life changes, moving, having children, etc) AND NOT the mundane, day-to-day decisions (i.e. what to have for breakfast, when to walk the dog, etc). The lighter decisions are to be made simply by following what feels good in the moment, which again is why it’s so important to curate the people they have around them!

HONE YOUR CRAFT, LIVE YOUR ART

In their natural and healthy state, a Reflector is completely open, experiencing the ebb and flow of life in the moment—every breath, every heartbeat—witnessing how everything comes and goes. The moon illuminates a gate, then moves on, creating a channel, then moves on again.

A Reflector’s healthy state feels incredibly light and fluid, which is why they often feel drawn to children, and vice versa. Reflectors share a childlike nature—able to live fully in the present, free from worry. For instance, they may cry when something hurts, only to be laughing five minutes later over something amusing, just as children do.

However, mainstream culture does not always recognize or support this fluidity. Differentiation remains rare, and Reflectors are deeply sensitive to their environment, absorbing it and, in essence, becoming it.

If the environment is negative, the Reflector will embody that negativity, often being blamed as the source of the problem. Much like the “canary in the coal mine,” Reflectors mirror the state of the environment, revealing its underlying toxicity.

In such cases, a Reflector may feel acutely aware of their difference and may begin to view themselves as the problem. They are accustomed to not being seen or understood, and this can lead to a rejection of conformity. Reflectors may become rebels, embracing their unique ability to serve as advocates for those who don’t fit in—those who resist the pressures of a homogenized world.

Much like the shamans of Indigenous cultures, these Reflectors can champion and support the misfits and the outsiders—those who, like them, refuse to conform to societal expectations.

QUESTIONS TO ASK

Have I waited a full lunar cycle before making major decisions?
For my day to day choices, does it FEEL GOOD to go ahead with ______?
Am I choosing my friends, work and living environments with care?
Do I exercise my prerogative to stay or to go, even though that means I don’t fit it with the rest of the crowd?

TO BE AWARE OF

Be aware of any kind of pressure to your system. It’s detrimental to your health and well-being. Take your time in making big decisions. And enjoy making the day-to-day choices with confidence in what feels good to you.
