Intro to the BodyBraid

with Ruth Douthwright

Body Braid

Join Somatic Movement Artist and Educator Ruth Douthwright for an introduction to the BodyBraid, a wearable movement support that feels like a gentle hug, helping your body align, breathe, and move with ease.

Think of it as a movement companion that awakens your natural elasticity and connection through fascia and flow.

What to Expect:

In this hands-on session, you’ll:

  • Learn ways to wear your braid for working at a desk or in daily life
  • Explore movement and stillness with awareness for posture and alignment
  • Discover playful sequences that enhance support, mobility, and curiosity in motion

BodyBraids will be provided for the workshop, and additional braids will be available for purchase for anyone who’d like to take one home.

Thursday, December 11

7:00 – 8:30 PM
62 Askin St
$20 per person

Come curious, wear comfortable clothes, and get ready to explore!
