3 life stories you might be listening to, telling and buying over and over again.
I can’t afford it.
I don’t have the time.
I’m not feeling very well.
These 3 excuses are available at Crapco and they go on sale often.
Once upon a time, you were uncomfortable. It was so awkward, painful and annoying. You looked around and no one you knew was experiencing this level of discomfort. So you sought relief. Anything to stop the pain. Certainly to find some solace again. Finally, anything to be normal.
You decided that if you had less, and hid more, life wouldn’t be so challenging. Perhaps you reasoned that if you had less, you would have less to be responsible for, less to clean up, and less to defend against thieves. You created an entire life that was less than. Likewise, you created less time, less health, less money, less access to resources, and less being out there in the world. A comfy life. Sort of.
Part of that comfortable life required you to pledge allegiance to the “I can’t, I don’t, I’m not” creed. After years and lifetimes of listening to, telling and buying it, you created the need for the creed. It became an addiction. To maintain your seemingly comfortable/average/normal life, you would sacrifice ALL to feed your addiction to living less than, and under-the-radar.
In your less than world, the one thing you were the proud owner of is the “I can’t, I don’t, I’m not” stories. And then you got to hang out with all your friends who bought those stories too! Instead of having a good time together, you got to do time together.
And you never had to change a thing. About you. About your life. About anything.
